Taking over just after the pandemic, our vision for The Abermule Inn was simple yet ambitious: to create a local hub that the Abermule community could be proud of. We envisioned a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home, whether they’re residents of Mid Wales or just passing through.

Proud of our progress and growth, we are honoured that our hard work has been recognised and celebrated, winning the Judges Award Winners at the Powys Business Awards 2023. Overwhelmed by the support and love we have received from the community in Abermule and all of our loyal customers, whom we couldn’t have done this without, we are motivated more than ever to keep growing.

Chef Jake Sampson’s ever-evolving menu showcases our commitment to culinary innovation and quality, featuring locally sourced ingredients (with a lot coming from our community in Abermule) and tempting new dishes that keep our customers coming back for more.

More Than Just a LOCAL Pub

Our journey with The Abermule Inn is a story of community and connection. Taking over the lease in the challenging times post-pandemic, we have since employed a dedicated team of 23 staff, becoming a cornerstone of local employment and community support.

Our efforts extend beyond the pub’s walls – we sponsor local sports teams, host ‘Mindfulness Mondays’ for community well-being, and organize the annual ‘Mule Fest’ charity event to celebrate local talent.

The Future of The Abermule Inn

Winning the Judges Award at the Powys Business Awards 2023 was a moment of immense pride for us, and our amazing team. It validated our efforts and fueled our ambition to continue growing and serving our community.

Described as “a start-up business to watch,” we are humbled by the recognition and inspired to keep pushing the boundaries of what a local inn can be.

Always looking to the future, we have more exciting plans to keep renovating The Abermule Inn to offer more and more to the local community. In addition to the continuous improvements to the physical premises, we are always planning new exciting events and looking to offer new experiences for our patrons.

From making Mulefest bigger and better every year to hosting more local groups, if you have any ideas, our doors are always open to new ideas and opportunities.

Become a part of our team at The Abermule Inn! We’re looking for an enthusiastic and versatile team member to fill a part-time position in our Bar and Front of House.

This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional service and the ability to work seamlessly with both our kitchen and bar staff. Applicants should be at least 18 years old and have a genuine enthusiasm for the world of hospitality.
